A couple of nights ago, Andrew and I had dinner at the new PappaRich restaurant in Gungahlin, Canberra. PappaRich aims to create 'a modern version of the traditional coffee shops in Malaysia'. We'd tried the food in various other locations over the years and were happy to see a branch open closer to home. While there are other places to find good Malaysian food in Canberra (and PappaRich has the brightly lit, regimented vibe of a spicy McDonald's) it's dependable and delicious. We started with drinks:
and lychee soda for me
then each had:
followed by:
… and vego char koay teow for me
All that was very filling but we still opted for dessert!
Teh tarik soft serve
We enjoyed our meal and will return. When we moved to Canberra 21 years ago Gungahlin was just starting to be built. Now it's a thriving suburb (indeed, set of suburbs) with diverse and plentiful dining options. Nice.
