Andrew and I arrived home today after spending three nights at a friend's apartment in Jindabyne, NSW. It's a lovely spot, overlooking Lake Jindabyne, and a short drive from the Snowy Mountains ski fields. We didn't go to the mountains this time, as rain was forecast, but did plenty of walking and eating around town and also had a lovely lunch at the Wildbrumby Distillery.
Ahem … I may have started with a
Stallion Gin and pink grapefruit soda
For lunch, I had the classic Reuben, he had bangers
and mash, and we shared some wedges and aioli
Dessert! Apple strudel for me and a Schnappygato for Andrew
Followed by delicious coffees
It's a fun place to visit. The portions are generous and we barely needed any dinner last night! Oh, and the schnapps and gins, distilled on site, are well worth taking home.
