Q is for ... quaff!

So it's here, on Day 17 of the alpharecipe challenge, that I grind to a halt, recipe-wise. I don't really have any favourite ingredients that start with Q, and in fact debated the quinoa question here almost seven years ago. My partner Andrew suggested the word 'quaff', though, as today's theme ... which sounds like fun! To 'quaff' is to drink something heartily. (Not to be confused with to 'coif', which is to style or arrange hair.)

Let's raise a glass to good food and good wine! And if you don't like drinking wine but have some lying around in a cupboard, here are some recipes you can use wine in:

asparagus, mushroom and blue cheese risotto
tomato fondue
boeuf bourguignon
pumpkin risotto
Greek-style meatballs with tomato sauce and green olives
stir-fried pork, cashews and vegetables

Anyway, catch you tomorrow. Will have to think of an ingredient starting with R ...
