Cambodia

Gallivanting again! This week I am in Phnom Penh for work. The work is fairly gruelling (and I'll be glad to return to my more sedate life in Canberra) but it is always interesting to visit a new city. In particular I like to eat the local food, and have had several opportunities already. Devoured a lovely kari banlei with Kampot pepper yesterday ...

... and also enjoyed some fabulous lemongrass soup last night at a cute little Paris-style sidewalk cafe next to the Tonle Sap.

Oh, and the breakfasts at the hotel are great. Fresh tropical fruits (including miniature bananas, dragon fruit, watermelon, pineapple, rambutans and passion fruit) together with pastries, fried rice and coffee. Simple and satisfying.

Three more days here. Hopefully when the workload calms down there will be a little time for exploring ...
