A year or so ago I mentioned Michael Pollan's book Food Rules. One of the best take-home messages from that book was the lovely one-liner 'Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants.' Well, one of my favourite food bloggers, Marion Nestle, just reviewed some more recent food books on her blog. Although I haven't read Peter Kaminsky's Culinary Intelligence: The Art of Eating Healthy (and Really Well) yet (I'm waiting till it comes out in Kindle format), Marion Nestle says Kaminsky summarises his thesis in ten words: 'Buy the best ingredients you can afford. Cook them well.'
Excellent advice!
