Eastern & Oriental Express!
In a burst of absolute extravagance, Andrew and I spent three days this week on the Eastern & Oriental Express, travelling from Bangkok, through rural Thailand and Malaysia, to Singapore. It was fabulous! We love train journeys anyway, and this one was perfect. It combined fascinating scenery, wonderful food, good company and a delicious old-world ambience. Very Agatha Christie-ish, though as far as we know there were no murders committed ...
