Great new books ... and best cake ever!

I'd always assumed that the Dummies books were written by Americans, for Americans. Not necessarily! The delightful Denise Sutherland, a long-time Canberra resident, has recently written Solving Cryptic Crosswords for Dummies and Cryptic Crosswords for Dummies, and kindly invited me to her book launch at Paperchain Bookstore today.

The books look excellent (I bought one for my partner, who's been trying to teach himself to solve cryptic crosswords) and Denise had made the most fabulous crossword cake!
