Margaret River

We've been wandering around the south western corner of Western Australia - Margaret River and thereabouts - for the last four days. I visited the region for work about seven years ago, but this is the first time I've looked at it through tourist eyes. The place is gorgeous. Majestic forests, beautiful beaches, delicious local produce and wines, and even some interesting lighthouses to visit! We had the pleasure of catching up with an old friend at Molloy Island on Monday, and she served us a magnificent lunch. Alas, Tracey's 'restaurant' doesn't take bookings, but we can definitely recommend the place we ate today - Brookwood Estate near Cowaramup. We had the gourmet platter for two and it was delicious. Check it out ...

Just for fun, here are a couple more pics from our wanderings ...

The 'Moorauder' keeps a watchful eye at Cape Leeuwin ...

... and the Indian Ocean at Hamelin Bay was stunning. Just stunning.
Is it just me, or are the sky and the sea more blue in WA?
