Feijoas are in season here! YUM. My feijoa tree has, alas, never borne fruit, but the lovely wee shop around the corner is selling them (four for $2) and apparently they're grown somewhere in my suburb. Feijoas seem relatively unknown here in Australia, but are much more common in New Zealand, where I grew up. You can even buy feijoa breakfast cereal, chocolates and sweets over there.
If you're in the southern hemisphere, don't miss feijoa season - they'll only be around for another couple of weeks, I suspect. I'll certainly be eating as many as possible before they disappear!

We have 2 Feijoa bushes which were loaded this year. We are still eating them.
