We're off to a birthday party on the weekend and wondered what to take. Several of the guests have dietary restrictions so it needed to be something that didn't contain gluten, and was free of added sugar and saturated fats ... lucky no-one has a nut allergy! Voilà.
Combine chilli powder, ground coriander and cumin, ginger and cinnamon in a bowl. Toss some almonds in a little olive oil, then in the spice mixture. Spread nuts out on a baking tray and bake for about half an hour at 170 degrees C.
These make a lovely edible gift.
